Do you know what’s going on in Mrs. Novak’s pre-algebra class? Most of the time, we are doing math concepts like scientific notation. Scientific notation is a mathematical expression used to represent a decimal number between 1 and 10 multiplied by ten, which allows you to write large numbers using digits. An example of scientific notation is when you write 4 x 10³ for 4,000.

Sometimes we do Get More Math. What we do on Get More Math is whatever math concept she taught in class is the math we practice on our own. We do My HRW, where we get our assignments and practice on the math we are doing. Sometimes when we get all the homework done she lets us play math games or work on other homework. So that's what’s happening in Mrs. Novak’s 5th-period math class!
