Digital Citizenship and Safety:  Common Sense Ideas for Your Middle School Student

During the first quarter enrichment period, middle school students will discuss and do activities about safe and sensible online activity.  Lessons will focus on the following topics:

*Finding balance in a digital world

*Don’t feed the phish

*Who are you online?

*Chatting safely online

*Digital drama unplugged

*Finding credible news

The site that NCMS is using is www.commonsense.org, and it is a free resource for parents, too, who would like to check the appropriateness of a video game, tv show or even movie.

Parents may have recently seen the article, “15 Dangerous Apps Every Parent Should Know About.”  If you have not, click on the link below to read it.
